Allana Ferguson bio
Allana played for Australia at the Rugby Sevens in 2013, and then a string of knee injuries left Allana to stay off the field for many years prior to making the transition back to league. Allana played in her first union rugby game for women played by New South Wales as she was the star of the match that was played against Queensland. Allana is also a radio player on her CV, and has made regular appearances with the 2GB's highest-rated Continuous Call Team. Allana has also earned a teaching degree. Allana Ferguson, a Jillaroos player and a qualified teacher outside of sport and has represented Australia three times in touch football, rugby league as well in rugby sevens. Ferguson was already tearing ligaments on her knee between 15 and 17 but after the fourth tear and the final tear, there was no hope for the 25-year old. Ferguson, JILLAROOS's playmaker had to retire earlier due to a fourth injury to the left ACL. Ferguson confirmed to The Courier Mail that she had the injury while training in November. She has been a face of women's Rugby League over the course of several seasons.
